GPUAnimator is a professional-grade GPU skinning and animated texture solution for Unity 6+.


It bakes skeletal animations offline to EXR textures, with skeletal transformations handled by shaders at runtime. This requires virtually no CPU and can reliably drive thousands of characters. A built-in one-click baking tool automatically outputs baked meshes, animated textures, and JSON configurations. It supports multi-clip merging, Loop/Interact clip types, and runtime event callbacks for easy state machine interaction.


It is instancing/batching-friendly, making it suitable for large-scale scenes such as open-world crowds, RTS units, and racetrack spectators.


The built-in pipeline is ready to use out of the box, and URP is quickly ported via the included HLSL. It is also compatible with SRP Batcher.


It supports DX11+, Metal, Vulkan, and GLES 3.0+ platforms, with linear color and EXR import parameters automatically set by the tool.


It includes a debug panel and inspector for fast integration and performance tuning.
