Stylized Status FX gives your characters twenty status effects - burning, freezing, poison, shock,
bleeding, petrification and more - without touching a single material on your character.
Add one component, click an effect, done. The effect appears in the Scene view immediately, so you
can judge it without entering Play mode.
WORKS WITH ANY CHARACTER
The component never swaps or edits your character's materials. It builds a lightweight proxy
renderer for every mesh and draws the effect on top, so it works with any shader you already use -
Lit, Toon, or your own. Skinned and static meshes are both supported, and the effect follows the
animation.
NO TEXTURES, NO PARTICLES
Every effect is drawn procedurally in the shader. Nothing to import, nothing to bake, no particle
systems to budget for. The look is authored with sliders and colour ramps.
ANY SIZE OF CHARACTER
Patterns are measured in character heights, not world units, so one material looks the same on a
small goblin and on a giant. Import scale and FBX Scale Factor do not matter, and there is no
per-character tuning.
THREE STAGES, NOT ONE FADE
Every effect plays through onset, a looping active phase, and a fade-out that removes it cleanly.
Each stage has its own duration and curves, so the timing fits your combat rather than the other
way round.
BUILT TO BE CUSTOMISED
Every effect has its own material with grouped, clearly named parameters - palette, pattern scale,
speed, coverage. Duplicate a material, change the colours, and you have green witch-fire or black
ice. Adding a completely new effect needs no C# at all: write a shader, make a material, create a
profile.
