StoryPaws is a visual dialogue-authoring and localization toolkit designed to help Unity developers create, organize, translate, and run branching conversations.
Build dialogue through a node-based editor where you can connect linear sequences, choices, responses, conditions, actions, speakers, endings, sound effects, and music. The included validation tools detect broken connections, unreachable nodes, invalid data, and potential dialogue softlocks before they reach players.
Keep narrative structure separate from translated text. StoryPaws generates stable localization keys and supports atomic CSV and TSV import and export, making it easy to work with Excel, LibreOffice, Google Sheets, or professional translators. Preview any configured language directly inside the dialogue graph and use fallback text while translations are incomplete.
At runtime, StoryPaws provides a UI-independent dialogue session with typewriter text, choices, responses, configurable auto-advance, localization, diagnostics, and safe completion behavior. Optional adapters for uGUI, TextMeshPro, and the Unity Input System are included, while custom UI and input systems can integrate through the public runtime API.
A functional Getting Started scene, reusable dialogue panel, sample localization table, audio examples, offline documentation, and migration tools are included.
StoryPaws does not require an account, subscription, external API, or network connection. It does not provide machine translation, save-game persistence, cloud collaboration, or XLSX import.
