Unity-Native Workspace
Nexum is designed as a native Unity Editor workspace and integrates directly with your project environment. Notes, Unity references, resources and development context can be captured and navigated without leaving the Unity Editor.
Markdown-Based Note System
Notes are stored as standard Markdown (.md) files, allowing your written content to remain portable and accessible outside Nexum. The writing system supports live Markdown rendering while maintaining a direct editing workflow.
Connected Entity System
Nexum connects different kinds of development information through a unified relationship system, including Notes, Tasks, Unity objects and external resources. Relationships and references allow related context to be discovered and navigated across the workspace.
Unity Context Integration
Unity assets and objects can be referenced directly from Nexum and represented using type-aware embedded views. This allows documentation and development notes to include meaningful project context rather than relying only on text descriptions.
Kanban Workspace
The Kanban system provides spatial navigation with pan and zoom, configurable columns and drag-and-drop task management. Tasks support structured metadata and can connect to notes, resources and Unity context.
Persistent Development Data
Nexum combines file-based Markdown content with persistent metadata and workspace data. Project relationships and supporting data are stored separately from note content to preserve a clean and flexible note system.
Development Context Capture
Nexum can capture information from development workflows such as code annotations and Unity Console output, allowing that context to become structured Notes or Tasks for further investigation and documentation.
Daily Notes
Calendar-based Dated Notes provide a lightweight way to capture development progress, discoveries and decisions over time while remaining part of the same Markdown-based note system.
