A free RPG pixel-art GUI theme for Unity UI. A set of UGUI prefabs, with the pieces an RPG needs: put one on a Canvas and it comes skinned and padded. No 9-slice setup and no styling by hand.
What's inside
- The parchment theme as 31 UGUI prefabs: buttons (normal, hover, pressed, disabled), gem checkboxes and radio buttons, a slider, framed progress bars (health, mana, stamina and XP), a scrollbar and scroll view, an input field, a dropdown, tabs, a tooltip, riveted panels, windows with title bars, labels, titles and an ornamental divider; and a PixelTheme asset that names them.
- The RPG pieces, as prefabs too: item slots in five rarities, a portrait frame, a nameplate, a ribbon banner, ink text and a parchment scroll.
- 18 icons, 16x16, coloured and outlined: sword, shield, helmet, two potions, coin, gem, key, chest, heart, mana, XP, scroll, quest, check, cross, lock and an arrow.
- Quill, a storybook serif pixel font with printable ASCII and Latin-1 as a TextMesh Pro font asset, crisp at 10 px and its multiples, and a mouse cursor at 1x to 4x.
- Every piece is a 9-sliced, point-filtered sprite; PixelCanvas scales the canvas by whole numbers.
- Demo scene: an RPG screen with a portrait, settings, an inventory, a quest scroll, a hotbar and dialogue, built from the prefabs.
Pixel UI Fantasy has six themes (parchment, leather, iron, gilded, elven and arcane) and 53 icons, with the same prefab names: import it over this one.
Compatibility
- Unity 6.3 or later, with UGUI and TextMesh Pro (both built in).
- Either input handler: the Input Manager or the Input System.
The Python code that draws every piece, icon and glyph pixel by pixel and the package's C# scripts were written with the help of AI (Anthropic's Claude); no generative image model.
