Create modular, side-view roller coasters for Unity 2D projects.

Roller Coaster Construction Kit 2D includes two independent examples. Build a continuous circuit with 15 Entry/Exit-based track modules and run the included four-car train examples in ConstantSpeed or SimpleGravity mode. For an arcade alternative, use one Rigidbody2D jump cart to cross a deliberate gap between separate takeoff and landing ramps, collect sky tokens, and reset the example for another run.

Included content:

  • 17 track prefabs: 15 continuous modules plus 2 physics-jump ramps
  • 4 support prefabs, including a height-adjustable support
  • 4 path-following car prefabs, 1 physics jump cart, and the Puffy Orb rider
  • 2 gameplay prefabs: Collectible_SkyToken and Jump_AutoTrigger
  • 6 station and park prop prefabs
  • 3 playable demos and 1 complete parts gallery
  • Offline English and Japanese documentation

Core features:

  • Entry/Exit connector snapping through the included editor placement window
  • Baked lightweight track meshes with configured EdgeCollider2D components
  • Four-car spacing and bogie-based orientation
  • Lift, brake, and station target speeds
  • Looping, speed control, reset, and orthographic camera follow
  • Reusable trigger-based collectibles with one-time or repeat collection, respawn delay, pickup feedback, counter events, and UnityEvent hooks
  • Optional automatic jump trigger

Compatibility and requirements:

  • Minimum editor: Unity 2022.3 LTS; validated in Unity 2022.3.22f1
  • Render pipeline: Built-in Render Pipeline only
  • Demo input: Input Manager (Old) or Both; Input System Package (New) only is not supported
  • External dependencies: none

The jump cart and continuous train are separate systems. The two jump ramps do not form one CoasterCircuit2D. The included corkscrew is a stylized side-view interpretation, not a physical 3D corkscrew. Save-game persistence, inventory UI, networking, music, and sound effects are not included.

Design origin: this kit is a clean, reusable reimplementation of the 2D roller-coaster concept created for Chihuahua Games' released title LOST IN LOST JAPAN. The original game's character, regional setting, level data, UI, audio, Steam integration, original collectible artwork, and game-specific logic are not included. One publisher-owned screenshot is included under Documentation solely as provenance; it is not runtime content, reusable kit content, or a listed product feature.
