All models were carefully designed to optimize poly-count (LOD0s are highly detailed for closeups, while LOD4s contain ~100 tris, so you can place a bunch of them throughout the scene) with photograph textures, to give a photo-realistic impression.
Each model uses 1 single material, to boost in-game performance when your beach has many rocks.
