The model was made according to the description of Victor Krasin, the former prisoner of the Lubyanka (Moskow). Many well-known political prisoners, scientists and artists in the Stalinist USSR sat in cells like this: Korolev, Tupolev, Landau, Babel, Tukhachevsky, Mandelstam etc. The bucket in the corner (Parasha) was used as a toilet.
