The Hwacha with Singijeon was a mobile launching weapon developed in the first year of King Munjong’s reign (1451). It was capable of firing 100 Jung Singijeon (medium-sized fire arrows) either simultaneously or consecutively. The Hwacha demonstrated its power during the Imjin War, notably in battles such as the Battle of Haengju. It continued to be manufactured and served as an important weapon throughout the later period of the Joseon Dynasty.
