by Backrock Studios

Price History +

A stylized giant spider built for horror, cave and dungeon scenes — 1.2 m

across the legs, so it reads as a threat at player scale rather than as set

dressing.

All eight legs are individually rigged with three bones each, and the Walk

clip uses a real alternating-tetrapod gait: legs 1 and 3 on one side swing

with legs 2 and 4 on the other, the way a spider actually moves. A four-legged

gait faked across eight legs is the thing that makes most spider assets look

wrong in motion, and this one does not do that.

The abdomen and cephalothorax are separately rigged, so the body can flex and

the abdomen can bob independently of the legs. The fangs are on their own

bone for a bite or threat pose.

The eyes are modelled geometry rather than a texture detail — a forward-facing

pair set into the carapace above the fangs, on their own palette swatch. Amber

by default; recolour that one 32x32 swatch and you have red, green or dead-white

eyes without touching the mesh or the UVs.

Key features

- 27 bones: 8 legs x 3 segments, plus body, abdomen and fangs

- Alternating-tetrapod Walk cycle, not a four-leg cycle stretched to eight

- Knee and ankle knuckles built into the mesh so joints read at low poly

- Hourglass abdomen marking sunk into the shell, not floating over it

- 1.2 m leg span — sized as a creature, not a prop

- Eyes are geometry on their own palette swatch — a one-swatch recolour, no UV work
