Everyday Living Room

Living rooms are full of small specific sounds that are easy to take for granted until you have to recreate them. 344 SFX - Everyday Living Room is a foley library built around the objects and interactions that come up in a typical domestic living room.

The fireplace section is the most detailed, covering opening and closing the fire guard with metallic scrapes and squeaks, sorting and stacking logs, opening a matchbox, and striking a match. TV remote sounds cover picking up and putting down on a metal table across a large number of takes. Game controller handling includes pick-up and put-down sounds. Plant handling covers picking up and setting down a potted plant with leaves rustling. Wooden ornaments are recorded in two weight categories, light and heavy, each with pick-up and put-down variants. A Victorian cast iron radiator valve gives you a metallic screw and ring character. Couch cushion fluffing, pulling out a nest table, a walking stick stored in a wardrobe, opening a thermostat battery compartment, watering a house plant, and a speaker hum round out the collection.

All sounds are fully metadata tagged and ready for Unity.
