Household Ambience

A useful room tone library needs more than one room. 344 SFX - Household Ambience is a broad collection of interior ambience recordings from across a house, covering bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and living rooms alongside a large set of loopable drone textures for more designed use.

The room tone recordings are organized by location. The bathroom section covers a standard room tone, one with an active extractor fan, and a shower running from across the room. Kitchen recordings cover a fridge hum, an air vent, a boiler running, and two longer perspective recordings of washing up and putting pots away. Living room tones give you a quiet interior version, one with a clock ticking in the background, and one with distant traffic and ambient buzz. Hallway tones offer both a quiet corridor and one with a television audible from another room. Several washing machine cycles recorded at different stages add further domestic texture.

The drone section is the largest part of the library, with thirty individual stereo loops running around three minutes each. These are dark, industrial, and abstract in character, designed for tension or abandoned environment use. All sounds are fully metadata tagged and ready for Unity.
