Controller
- Torque-driven ball physics: roll, steer, jump, dash, brake — with grip, rolling resistance and weight you can tune
- Simulated balance (inverted pendulum) with a tipping point: speed changes, landings and bumps all knock the rider around
- Full fall cycle: ragdoll tumble → climb back onto the ball → victory pose; head-bonk collisions on low obstacles
- Procedural character animation (Animation Rigging): treadmill legs, scramble, windmill arms, panic flail, googly eyes, squash & stretch
- Works with your own humanoid characters: automatic convert, scale, rig and ragdoll
Editor tools
- Setup Window: character, 7 ball skins + size, feel presets, one Difficulty slider, one Silliness slider, camera presets, audio slots, and a Validate page with one-click fixes
- Game Scenes window: 12 one-click scenes (test playground + the 11 games), with per-game rider count, team size, AI skill and round length
- Level Designer: top-down blueprint editing with live 3D preview, 21 placeable pieces, "Continue the track", levels saved as assets, one-click test play
- Trailer camera: 7 cinematic shots, slow motion, HUD-free clean mode
Gameplay kit
- AI riders with skill / aggression / accuracy personalities; spectate when you're out
- Throwable props (crates, beach balls, rubber chickens) with carry poses and auto-aim
- Balance HUD, over-head balance indicators, kill feed, scoreboards, countdowns and restart handling
- Scripting API: events, external input (SetMoveInput, Jump, Dash…), Push/Fall/Respawn, and a game-mode base class
Compatibility & content
- Unity 6 · Built-in Render Pipeline and URP (one-click material conversion)
- Requires Input System and Animation Rigging — a bundled installer adds both
- Keyboard + mouse and gamepad controls out of the box
- All meshes, materials, effects and sounds are generated — no third-party assets; replace any of them with your own
- Quick Start PDF (5 pages) + full Documentation PDF (21 pages) with scripting examples
Roll the ball. Stay on top. Try not to laugh.
Ball Runner Controller puts your character on top of a giant rolling ball — legs scrambling like a log roller, arms windmilling, googly eyes panicking. The balance is a real physics model, not an animation: push too hard, land too heavy or take a beam to the head and the rider tumbles off in full ragdoll… then scrambles back up the ball and strikes a victory pose.
It plays great in thirty seconds and stays funny for hours, which makes it a perfect base for party games, streamer bait and “one more round” prototypes.
Built for designers, not just programmers. One Setup Window does everything in plain language: pick a character, pick a ball skin, drag a Difficulty slider from “forgiving fun” to “circus tightrope”, and drag the Silliness slider to scale all the comedy at once — noodle spine, floppy head, tongue out, squash & stretch. Drop in your own humanoid model and the window converts, scales and rigs it for you, ragdoll included.
11 games in the box. Every one is a normal Unity scene, created with one click and yours to tear apart:
- Obstacle Course — ramps, bumpers, see-saws, hammers, checkpoints and a best time
- Last One Standing — the arena keeps falling into the sea; last rider riding wins
- Race — against AI riders that wobble and crash just like you
- Hot Potato — pass the lit bomb before it goes off
- King of the Hill — hold the zone, shove everyone else out
- Falling Tiles — every tile you touch drops away
- Paint the Floor — 3v3 turf war, most floor wins
- Ball Soccer — push a giant ball into their goal
- Waiter Race — deliver a tower of cupcakes without wobbling
- Bowling — giant pins, real ten-pin scoring
- Endless Roller — a track that builds itself and speeds up
The AI riders have personalities (skill, aggression, aim), lose their balance believably, and will absolutely throw a rubber chicken at your head.
Make your own levels without code. The Level Designer window has a top-down blueprint view with a live 3D preview: click to place floors, ramps, bumpers and hammers, hit “Continue the track”, then test-play your level in one click. Levels save as assets you can reuse anywhere.
Everything is self-contained. The cartoon mannequin, ball skins, materials, effects and even the sounds are generated by the asset — no third-party dependencies. Swap in your own clips, materials and characters whenever you’re ready.
For programmers there’s a clean scripting API underneath: events (OnJump, OnFall, OnBalanceChanged…), external input hooks for your own controls or AI, and a documented game-mode base class to build new rules on.
Works with Unity 6 on the Built-in Render Pipeline and URP (one-click material conversion included). Uses the Input System and Animation Rigging packages — an installer sets both up for you.
