Trim, fade, retime, normalize and combine audio clips directly in the Unity Editor. Non-destructive editing with a removable operation stack. No external software needed.

SCOPE

   • Editor-only. All scripts live in an Editor folder and compile into the

editor assembly. Nothing is included in your builds.

   • No runtime components, no scene changes, no manifest edits.

   • No third-party libraries and no external binaries.

INPUT

   • Any audio clip Unity can import: WAV, MP3, OGG, AIFF

   • Reads decoded PCM, so the source compression format does not matter

   • Load Type must be Decompress On Load or Compressed In Memory

(Streaming clips do not expose sample data to the editor)

OUTPUT

   • 16-bit PCM WAV, at the source clip's sample rate and channel count

AudioEditor Tool

Everyday audio editing, inside the Unity Editor.

Stop round-tripping through Audacity or Reaper for small fixes. Drop in an

AudioClip, make your edits, preview the result, export. That's the whole

workflow.

♻️ NON-DESTRUCTIVE BY DESIGN

Every change is stacked as an operation and replayed from the original

samples. Remove any step at any time and the result rebuilds instantly.

Your source file on disk is never touched — you export to a new file only

when you're happy with it.

🧰 THE TOOLBOX

✂️ TRIM

Drag across the waveform to mark regions and remove them. Adjust any region

by its edge handles. Overlapping selections merge automatically.

🎚️ FADE

Fade in and out with presets or draw your own shape in a standard Unity curve field. Live preview overlay on the waveform.

⏩ SPEED

Two modes, because they sound completely different.

   • Resample — speed and pitch change together, for tape-style effects

   • Time Stretch — duration changes, pitch stays put, for dialogue and

music that still needs to sound natural

📊 NORMALIZE

Peak normalization to a target dBFS, with a live current-peak readout so

you can see exactly how much gain you're adding before committing.

🎛️ COMBINE

Layer a second clip over the current one with independent volume per clip.

Drag it along a mini-timeline that snaps to the start and to the end of the

first clip. Different sample rates and channel counts convert automatically.

Repeat to layer as many clips as you like.

💾 SAVE

Export to 16-bit PCM WAV. Files saved inside your project are imported and

pinged automatically.

✨ ALSO INCLUDED

   • Waveform display that reflects your current edit, not the original

   • Seekable timeline ruler with adaptive tick density

   • Preview playback — play, pause, resume, stop and loop

   • Drag-and-drop clip loading

   • Full PDF documentation

🔒 CLEAN AND SELF-CONTAINED

   • Editor-only — nothing ships in your build

   • No third-party libraries, no external binaries

   • No runtime components, no scene changes, no manifest edits

   • Full C# source included
