Cleaner Builds is a source-included Unity Editor tool for projects that carry multiple SDKs, storefront integrations, samples, or platform-specific assets.

Create common cleanup rules, target-specific rules, custom subtargets such as storefronts or portals, and include-only rules for assets that belong to one delivery lane. On Unity 6, Cleaner Builds also supports Build Profile-specific rules through public Unity APIs and explicit profile-to-target associations.

Before anything is removed, Aggregate Preview resolves every applicable rule into one reviewable plan. It shows each item's source, readiness, and known size. Save the same plan as Markdown for review or CI artifacts, or invoke cleanup programmatically from Unity batchmode as part of a CI/CD build pipeline.

Safety is built into the workflow. Cleaner Builds rejects absolute paths, parent traversal, project roots, its own package folder, malformed package identifiers, and self-removal attempts. Assets under Assets/ use Unity's trash flow. Before package changes, manifest.json and packages-lock.json are copied to a timestamped backup folder.

Cleaner Builds intentionally performs destructive project preparation. Use it in a source-controlled project or disposable build/export copy, review the resolved plan, and keep your original project recoverable.
