A ready-to-run implementation of the validated Deary-Liewald reaction time paradigm (Deary, Liewald & Nissan, 2011) - the standard psychometric task for measuring psychomotor and choice reaction speed, used in cohort studies such as the Lothian Birth Cohorts.

Everything is driven by a single, thoroughly configurable script and a mode-aware custom Inspector - no coding required to use, customize, or extend any of the included variants.

Fully customizable, out of the box:

  • Response keys, box appearance, colors, fonts and all instruction texts
  • Number of practice/test trials and blocks per phase
  • Timing (pre-stimulus interval, response window, pauses)
  • Feedback behaviour (immediate / end-of-block / none)
  • Auto-generated boxes or your own hand-built UI - just assign the references

Suitable for:

  • Academic research and student projects (psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience)
  • Cognitive training / brain-training style applications
  • Any project needing a validated, science-grounded reaction-time benchmark

5 ready-to-use modes, each with its own prefab and example scene:

  • Simple Reaction Time
  • Four-Choice Reaction Time
  • Deary-Liewald (Simple + Four Choice) - the original, validated protocol (default)
  • N-Choice Reaction Time (2–9 boxes)
  • Audio Simple Reaction Time (Showcase)

Drop a prefab into your scene, press Play, and you have a fully working, data-logging reaction-time task in minutes.
