Dynamic Snow System is a runtime snow package for Unity scenes that need visible snow buildup and interactive snow deformation.
The system includes a deformable snow ground mesh for footprints, shovel marks, and object trails. Snow can accumulate over time through a snowfall controller, and props such as roofs, rocks, trees, fences, cabins, and other meshes can receive runtime snow overlays based on surface angle. Flat areas collect more snow, while steep slopes collect less or shed snow.
Included features:
- Runtime deformable snow surface
- Snow accumulation on mesh props and sloped surfaces
- Footprint stamping for characters
- Object trail stamping for movable props
- Shovel snow removal
- Visible snowfall particle prefab
- Demo player, shovel, props, materials, models, and prepared demo scene
- C# events for gameplay hooks such as footsteps, shovel actions, mesh rebuilds, and snow coverage changes
The package is suitable for winter games, survival games, exploration scenes, stylized environments, prototypes, and interactive demos. Materials, snow depth, accumulation speed, slope limits, footprint size, shovel strength, and scene prefabs can be customized in the Inspector.
