Your assets are great, but getting that perfect image to show them off can be frustrating!

Not anymore. Gleam is a photography studio that lives in the Unity Editor. Drag a prefab in, choose a stage and a lighting rig, and export a finished image. Theres no need for external software and no complicated render pipeline surgery. Best of all, there's no scene to set up and tear down.

Drop in a prefab. Get a hero shot.

Gleam opens its own staging scene so nothing touches your project. Drop in any prefab and it is centered, framed, and lit immediately. Everything from there is one click: change the stage, change the light, snap the camera angle, take your capture.

Five studio stages

Horizon — a sweeping floor extending towards the horizon.

Horizon · Sky Panels — the same sweep ringed with softbox panels, so smooth and metallic materials have something worth reflecting.

Infinity Cove — a bright, clean cove for catalog and storefront images.

Infinity Cove Dark — the same cove in low key, for drama and rim light.

Reflection — a mirrored floor with true planar reflection.

Eleven lighting rigs

Studio Softbox · Clean Catalog · Overcast Soft · Hero Rim · Golden Hour · Blue Hour · Warm Glow · Backlit Glow · Firelight · Neon Night · Noir

Each is a multi-light setup, not a color tint. Switch between them and the whole mood changes: the key, fill, rim, shadow softness, and ambient all move together.

Real-time subject reflections

Smooth and metallic subjects reflect the stage and each other, live in the preview and in the exported file. Gleam gives every staged subject its own reflection probe positioned at that subject's own center, so a chrome sphere shows the objects beside it. Set several reflective props next to each other and they inter-reflect.

Reflections are per-subject and capped at 10 staged subjects. Past that, subjects still reflect the stage but not each other.

Nine cameras, one image

Run up to nine cameras on the same subject(s) and composite them into a single image. Choose a layout that works for your renders: Single, Side by Side, Stacked, Hero + 2, Hero + 3, Quad 2×2, 3-Wide Strip, or Auto Grid. You can build your own custom cell layout with a live preview.

Snap any camera to preset angles: Front, ¾ Left, ¾ Right, Back, Side L, Side R, Top, Hero, or Iso; then frame it by center, thirds, or the golden ratio. Finally, fit it to the subject if you need a little extra padding. Use the turntable orbit for showing a subject from every angle.

A real layered compositor

Gleam includes a full compositing canvas so your images can be finished with no round trip to another program.

  • Layer types: live camera renders, images, text, shapes, and groups
  • Shapes: rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, solid arrow, polygon
  • Twelve blend modes: Normal, Multiply, Screen, Overlay, Add, Subtract, Darken, Lighten, Soft Light, Hard Light, Difference, Alpha
  • Ten non-destructive effects: drop shadow, inner shadow, outer glow, inner glow, stroke, blur, bloom, color overlay, color grade, vignette
  • Per-layer transform: position, scale, rotation, and pivot
  • Fills: flat color and gradients

Store-ready templates included

15 canvas templates sized to real storefront requirements, ready to drop your renders into:

  • Steam: Header Capsule, Main Capsule, Small Capsule, Vertical Capsule, Library Capsule, Library Hero, Library Logo, Community Icon, Shortcut Icon, Screenshot
  • Unity: Store Key Image
  • General: Title Card, Feature Callout, Social Square, Before and After

Plus create your own custom templates for setups you use often.

  • HDRP is not supported. URP and Built-in only.
  • Editor-only tool. It produces images; it does not add runtime features.
  • Gleam renders what your materials already do. It is a studio, not a material upgrade. A flat unlit material will photograph as a flat unlit material. Beautifully lit, but flat.

Export the way you need it

Capture to PNG on disk, straight to the compositor canvas, or to the clipboard. Transparent background for compositing elsewhere, a solid color of your choice, or the stage as shot. Set any output resolution, and use the Quality control to supersample the capture so edges come out clean enough to publish.

Also included

Three demo gemstone prefabs: Diamond, Ruby, and Amethyst — so you have something to shoot with the moment it installs.

Included themes for personalization!
