The heart of this kit is the InvisiSphere Vehicle Controller. It is ROCK SOLID! It easily conforms to the most difficult terrain you can throw at it, autocorrects itself if it gets stuck upside down or on its side, and is very performant. Not to mention it is extremely easy to use.
It uses an invisible sphere to handle the physics of the vehicle, which makes configuring any vehicle as easy as swapping out the model for the vehicle and adjusting the body collider accordingly. You can then just tweak the settings until you get the behavior you want!
If you're just wanting the InvisiSphere Vehicle Controller, I sell that as well for a lower price. I'd recommend purchasing it first, and if you like it, you can upgrade to this package for a discounted price!
Also included is a Checkpoint, Lap, and Positioning System, as well as a Waypoint Editor that is extremely powerful. It allows you to quickly create, edit, and place waypoints/checkpoints on any track. No more manually creating triggers, placing them, and rotating them one by one - the editor intelligently places a new checkpoint trigger down with the click of a button. It automatically aligns it to the ground, rotates it correctly, and creates a path to all other checkpoints! All you have to do is drag the checkpoint where you want it - the rest is done dynamically. You can also adjust all checkpoint triggers width and height simultaneously in the inspector. This is a HUGE time-saving tool that will be showcased in a video soon.
This is a kit, but you can use the pieces included in the package individually if that's all you need. The InvisiSphere Vehicle Controller doesn't need the checkpoint and positioning system, and vice versa.
There's also an AI Controller that is extremely easy to setup! It does need the checkpoint and positioning system to work.
And last but certainly not least, there is a Race Track Generator included! It's very simple in its current state, but it will create a closed loop track with parameters you can tweak in the inspector. It will just create the path of the track, nothing else. It can still save you a lot of time when building your next race track!
Everything is very performant, leaving plenty of computing resources leftover for other things. I typically get around 400 fps.
ROADMAP:
I'm currently in the middle of overhauling this asset to make it dramatically better! I've recently spent a lot of time working on the controller to make it as rock solid as possible, and I think it's pretty much there. I'm still playing with the settings and tweaking a few things to figure out the best configuration, so you can expect it to get even more reliable (if you find better settings, please let me know!). Below are some other things I plan on bringing to this kit in the future:
