SnapSprite turns your 3D prefabs and models into clean, transparent PNG icons for inventories, shops, item cards and menus. No scene setup, no camera rig, no editing afterwards.
**Simple by design**
Add your objects, click an angle tile, click a light, border and size, and press Generate. Every angle tile shows your own object from that angle, so you choose by looking, not by guessing slider values. A live preview shows the final icon before you save it.
**Features**
- Six angle presets: Hero, Front, Side, Top, Isometric and Diagonal (the classic sword and staff icon)
- Light presets (Studio, Bright, Soft, Dramatic), border presets (Tight, Normal, Roomy) and sizes from 64 to 1024 px
- Fine tuning for exact values: Turn, Look down, Tilt, Empty border, Light and Ambient
- Tilt leans the object while the light stays fixed, so tilted icons are lit like all your others
- Tight framing on the real mesh shape, so long and diagonal objects fill the icon
- True transparency with clean, soft edges and no dark outline
- Draw named parts white (for example potion liquid) so you can tint them in your UI
- Batch generation from drag and drop, the Project selection or whole folders
- Icons are saved as PNG files and imported as Sprites, ready for UI
- Renders in an isolated preview scene: your open scene is never touched
- Public scripting API to generate icons from your own editor scripts
**Compatibility**
- Unity 6 (6000.0) and newer
- Built-in, URP and HDRP, with your own materials and shaders
- Editor only: nothing is added to your builds
**Included**
- SnapSprite editor tool (Tools > SnapSprite > Icon Maker)
- Full offline manual
- Demo sample with a sword, a mushroom and a coin, their prefabs and a demo scene
**Known limitations**
- Draws MeshRenderer and SkinnedMeshRenderer objects only. Particle systems, sprites, line and trail renderers, terrain and UI are not included.
- Post-processing effects (bloom, colour grading) are not applied to icons.
- In HDRP, overall brightness follows your project's exposure settings.
**Third-party content**
SnapSprite contains no third-party components. All code, models and documentation were created by the publisher. See Third-Party Notices.txt in the package.
