LOD information:
Decorations: 3 levels (LOD0 / LOD1 / LOD2)
Modules and kit pieces: 2 levels (full and low-poly)
Baked caves: optional LOD1; openings keep full detail so neighbouring parts never crack
Colliders:
Mesh colliders on every generated floor and wall
Mesh colliders on modules and kit pieces
Convex colliders on the boulder, stalagmite and stalactite; the rock cluster keeps its real shape
Rigging: No
Animations: No (lava flow is animated in the shader)
Materials / Shaders:
ArkerionCaveSurface — four texture sets blended by height and cave mapping, top cover (moss, snow, sand, ash), wetness, puddles, drip streaks, colour adjust, low-quality option for mobile / VR, debug views
ArkerionCaveLava — heat zones, glowing cracks, floor lava with crust, lava leaks, emission pulse
ArkerionCaveRock — manual kit pieces

Build complete, walkable caves directly in the Scene view: click a few floor points and the cave grows around them.
Stylized Nature - Cave Builder by Arkerion Studios is an editor tool for level designers. You place entrances and rooms, draw passages between them, and the tool builds continuous rock around your layout: passages that bend, climb and descend, rooms where they meet, crossroads, closed dead ends and entrances to the outside world. Every opening joins without gaps, every floor and wall gets a collider, and the cave updates instantly after each change.
Work like a node editor in 3D. Rooms, crossings and entrances are the places; passages are the links. Select a room to make it smaller or larger, turn it, or switch it between square and round, and every connected passage follows. Draw one passage across another and they become a crossroad. Branch off any point of a passage to grow a labyrinth.
A built-in Step Guide in the Scene view always shows what to do next, so your first cave takes minutes, not an afternoon.
Five themes change the whole look with one click:
The Basic theme pairs grey stylized stone with green moss for forest caves and classic adventure dungeons.
The Desert theme uses warm sandstone tones for canyon caves, tombs and dry mountain tunnels.
The Ice theme combines glossy blue ice with snow cover for frozen caverns and glacier tunnels.
The Jungle theme adds lush green moss to dark rock for overgrown ruins and tropical caves.
The Lava theme is its own system: hot, warm and cold rock zones, glowing cracks, molten floor pools and animated lava leaks running down the walls.
Building tools:
- Entrances, passages, square rooms (2, 3 or 4 connections) and round chambers (2 to 8 connections in three sizes)
- 3-way and 4-way crossings at any angle from 25° to 155°
- Branch from any point, join passages while drawing, connect openings with two clicks or Auto Connect
- Climbs, descents and vertical shafts, with walkable-slope checks for your character controller
- Depth Below Surface and Cut Terrain Opening for caves inside terrain hills
- Change the shape and size of placed rooms; connected passages stay attached
- Validation with one-click fixes and Fix Path for tight bends and steep climbs
- Full Undo for every action
Look and atmosphere:
- Automatic rock material mix: walls, chambers, alternative patches and floor
- Distortion that bends the whole cave so it never looks machine-made, still without gaps and with matching colliders
- Wetness with water streaks and puddles, per cave
- Lava heat zones, glowing cracks, floor lava and lava leaks, per cave
- Automatic point lights along passages and in rooms
- Decorations: rocks, boulders, stalagmites and stalactites, textured for every theme, with size, tilt and cluster controls
- Shadow shell that keeps sunlight out of the cave
When the cave is finished, bake it into an ordinary prefab with LODs, colliders, lightmap UVs and static flags. The baked cave needs no Cave Builder code in your game. The editable cave stays in your work scene, so you can change it and update the bake at any time.
Extra tools export a waypoint path for AI patrols and camera rails, a top-down minimap image, and layout files for backups. A first-person Play Test lets you walk through the cave with one click.
The package contains 29 cave modules (entrance, end cap, plug, 3 square rooms, 21 round rooms, 2 crossings), 20 manual kit pieces for building by hand, and 4 decorations in each of the five themes. Five demo scenes show a complete cave in every theme, plus an asset preview scene and a parts reference scene.
Full C# source code is included, with an extension guide for adding your own generated content.
