Built on top of Google's MediaPipe technology, Vision Pipe provides high-performance hand, face, and pose tracking with an easy-to-use Unity API, allowing developers to create interactive AR experiences without dealing with complex native integrations.


The asset includes a complete device native camera pipeline, GPU-accelerated tracking, and Unity-friendly data structures, making it easy to transform camera input into interactive gameplay, character control, avatar animation, and immersive XR experiences.

Important Notes


Unity Editor Limitations

  • Tracking functionality requires a physical Android device
  • Camera input is not available in the Unity Editor
  • Use device builds for testing and deployment

Platform Support

  • Android:
    • Minimum required API Level: 24 (Android 7.0)

Vulkan Rendering

  • Supported on Android API Level 28 or higher
  • Hardware acceleration requires Android Hardware Buffer (AHB) import support
  • If AHB import is unavailable, Virex automatically falls back to a pixel-copy rendering path
