ZionTPS is a modular third-person controller and locomotion system for Unity 6.

It gives you a clean, extendable foundation for building playable third-person characters without creating movement, camera handling, input setup, crouch, rolling, jumping, animation wiring, and editor tooling from scratch.

ZionTPS is designed for developers who want a polished starting point that is easy to configure, test, and build on. Use it as a fast prototype foundation, a vertical-slice controller, or the core locomotion layer of a larger third-person project.

SETUP WIZARD

ZionTPS includes a five-step Setup Wizard to reduce manual setup time.

The wizard can:

• Validate a humanoid model prefab or FBX


• Check for common model issues such as colliders, rigidbodies, invalid avatars, root motion, and scale problems


• Generate a player prefab and camera rig prefab


• Create CharacterDefinition and AnimationDefinition assets


• Generate an Animator Controller when required


• Generate Default, Combat, and Aim camera profile assets


• Configure camera, input, animation, and optional modules


• Optionally install Foot IK


• Optionally instantiate the generated setup into the current scene


• Create a clean starting point for testing in Play Mode or a standalone build


For best results, use a visual-only humanoid model with a valid Humanoid Avatar. The generated player root contains the gameplay components, while the model remains separate as the visual character.

CAMERA PROFILES

ZionTPS includes three practical camera modes:

Default


A balanced third-person gameplay camera for general exploration and movement.


Combat


A tighter, more responsive camera intended for combat-oriented gameplay.


Aim


A close over-the-shoulder camera profile for aiming or focused interaction.


Camera profiles are editable ScriptableObject assets, allowing you to tune distance, follow response, orbit speed, pitch limits, field of view, collision behaviour, and shoulder framing for your project.
