Description
This package includes a highly customizable and stylized fog shader created with Unity’s Shader Graph. Designed for flexibility and ease of use, it comes with a ready-to-use material (FogMaterial) that can be applied directly to any mesh in your scene — no shader editing required.
The shader includes controls for fade height (objects gradually fade when submerged), color, flow, noise, waves and emissive effects, making it suitable for a wide range of art styles and game genres, from fantasy and sci-fi to stylized platformers or top-down adventures.
All settings are exposed in the material inspector, allowing you to quickly tweak the look and behavior of the fog without writing a single line of code. Whether you're targeting PC, mobile, or console platforms, this shader is built to scale efficiently.
Note:
For the best wave effect performance, ensure your plane mesh is high-poly (i.e., has enough vertices) to allow for smooth vertex displacement. This is especially important when using the shader in large-scale environments, such as a high-scaled sea or sky.
