⚡Light your world with GigaLights - Infinite Lights for Unity!⚡
GigaLights lets you use a massive number of dynamic lights in Unity, complete with ray-traced shadows, volumetric fog and high-quality temporal denoising. Create dense cities, atmospheric interiors, concerts, sci-fi worlds and any scene where traditional light limits get in the way.
🌀Easy to use
Add a GigaLight component, set up your global GigaLights settings and start lighting your scene. GigaLights works with familiar light types and offers a clear quality-versus-performance workflow, so you can scale your visuals to your project.
⚡Infinite dynamic lights
Place point, spot, directional and area lights throughout your scene without being constrained by the usual per-object light limits. GigaLights uses GPU light culling to efficiently determine which lights matter for every part of the screen.
🚀Made for scalable performance
Tune ray-tracing distance, samples per pixel, trace detail, geometry memory budget, fog quality and denoising to suit your target hardware. GigaLights automatically uses hardware ray tracing when available and falls back to software ray tracing on supported devices.
🌑Ray-traced shadows
Give your lights soft, detailed shadows with hardware ray tracing where supported and an automatic software ray-tracing fallback where it is not. GigaLights supports cutout geometry, skinned shadow casters, terrain shadows and adjustable quality settings.
🌫️Volumetric fog
Bring depth and atmosphere to your levels with the included volumetric fog that is lit and shadowed by your GigaLights. Control density, height falloff, anisotropy, noise, wind and fog-shadow update quality to find the right balance between performance and visual quality.
🎨Area lights, cookies and more
Create expressive lighting with rectangular, tube, disc and box area lights, spot lights, directional lights and point lights. Use cookies, colour temperature, soft shadow penumbras, rendering layers and culling masks to make every light behave exactly as intended.
🪟Light transparent materials
Enable GigaLights lighting for transparent materials in the forward pass, with optional ray-traced shadow reception and a half-resolution mode for improved performance.
🧩Extend your lighting with optional modules
GigaLights can be expanded with dedicated Ambient Occlusion, Global Illumination and Reflections modules, all designed to work together with the same ray-traced scene and denoising workflow.
