Bring your game art to life. Paint a mask, watch the effects flow.
Living Art Studio is a Unity editor tool that turns flat 2D art into animated artwork. Drop in your texture, paint where each effect should appear, and the built-in GPU effects do the rest. Fire, water, lightning, magic, sun rays, sheen, sparks, and more are all ready to use out of the box.
Need something more specific? The fully configurable Custom Flow channels let you author your own motion. And every effect plays live in the editor. No Play mode, no Shader Graph.
Here's what's in the package:
▸ 15 built-in effects ready to drop on any material: Fire, Water, Fog, Clouds, Magic, Lightning, Rain, Stars, Sparks, Spiral, Twirl & Wave, 3D Popout (parallax), Shine, and Sun Rays.
▸ Custom Flow channels for authoring your own motion. Multi point Bézier splines, ellipse bursts, rotating rings. Build the shape, set the speed, watch the texture flow along it.
▸ Three render targets out of the box. UGUI Image, SpriteRenderer, or MeshRenderer. Pick one when you create the material and you get the right shader for your pipeline automatically.
▸ URP and Built in Render Pipeline. Same shader, same material, no setup. Unity dispatches the right variant based on your project.
▸ Mask painting editor built around an artist's workflow. Brush, undo, eyes for solo preview, multi tab editing. Paint your effects and see them live.
▸ AI mask generation (optional, bring your own API key). Auto generate depth masks from your base art using Google Gemini or Hugging Face Spaces. The provider layer is fully pluggable, so you can drop in your own backend by implementing a single C# interface.
▸ 40+ bundled noise textures: fire, water, magic, clouds, wind, lightning, anisotropic, and more. One click to copy them into your project so they show up in the standard texture picker.
▸ Demo scenes: a trading card game demo, a mobile game promo popup demo, and a targets sandbox to compare every effect side by side.
