Modular Sci-Fi Thruster Effects is a focused Unity 6 URP package for spacecraft, drones, vehicles, machinery, and science-fiction props.
The package includes three ready-to-use styles:
- Clean Ion Drive — a stable blue-white plume for efficient propulsion.
- Pulsed Plasma Drive — a violet engine with a stronger rhythmic response.
- Combustion Boost Drive — a hotter amber plume with a more aggressive flicker.
Each prefab combines a reusable high-resolution plume mesh, layered flame materials, an authored metal nozzle, and procedural exhaust sparks. The included ModularThrusterVFX component exposes a normalized power input and updates length, width, turbulence, material phase, intensity response, and exhaust behavior without duplicating materials at runtime.
The custom URP shader adds animated multi-frequency breakup, hot-core shaping, volumetric edge response, and subtle shock-cell highlights. Colors, intensity, softness, and power can be adjusted per material or driven at runtime through the supplied component.
A clean showcase scene demonstrates individual close-ups and a final three-engine comparison. The demo environment is contained in a reusable setup prefab and does not depend on the removed source examples.
