Retro JRPG Template – Battle Transitions

A set of customizable JRPG-style battle transitions, including mask fades, spirals, sweeping bands, blurs, shockwaves, and prism distortions.

Battle Transitions adds eight JRPG-style battle effects for RetroJRPG, ready to assign globally or per battle.

• Clockwise Inward : black spirals clockwise into the centre.
• Square Clockwise Inward : a square-edged clockwise blackout.
• Three Bands : horizontal bands sweep across in alternating directions.
• Vertical Bands : vertical bands sweep upward and downward in sequence.
• Swirl Blur : the current view twists into a blurred vortex.
• Outward Blur : pixels push outward from the centre with blur.
• Echo Shockwave : rhythmic ripple pulses distort the captured screen.
• Prism Fracture : irregular fragments shift apart, becoming finer near the centre.

Each transition supports adjustable timing, optional UI fades, and reusable mask or distortion textures for creating further variants.
