Sea Of Clouds adds a full-screen volumetric cloud layer to URP projects through a Scriptable Renderer Feature and a familiar Unity Volume workflow. It is designed for open skies, flying cameras, islands, landscapes, stylized worlds, and cinematic horizon views where the clouds
need to feel large, soft, and integrated with the scene.
Tune the look directly from the Volume inspector: cloud amount, thickness, layer height, draw distance, wind, large-scale shape, detail erosion, cumulus forms, tint, opacity, sunlight, ambient lighting, horizon blend, and advanced raymarch stability. The package also includes quality controls such as internal render resolution, sample counts, denoising modes, far-distance smoothing, temporal reprojection, and ready-made Fast, Balanced, High, and Cinematic performance presets.
- URP Scriptable Renderer Feature + Volume based workflow
- Volumetric raymarched cloud layer
- Artist-friendly controls for shape, density, lighting, wind, and horizon color
- Cumulus height shaping for richer cloud silhouettes
- Denoising, far distance smoothing, stochastic sampling.
- Inside cloud and near-horizon stabilization for wide horizon views
- Depth aware upscale to reduce edge leakage around scene geometry
- Unity ambient, fog, sun, and environment lighting integration
- Debug views for density, depth, lighting, phase, denoise, temporal history, and more
- Sample scene and sample Volume profile included
Sea Of Clouds is built to blend naturally with your project lighting. It can pick up Unity RenderSettings ambient colors, fog color, reflection intensity, directional sun lighting, and horizon atmosphere, helping clouds sit inside the scene instead of looking like a separate overlay.
Ideal for developers who want atmospheric skies without building a custom volumetric cloud renderer from scratch.
