Skyloom – Clouds & Weather is a highly customizable cloud and weather system for Unity 6 URP, designed to bring dynamic skies and atmospheric effects to your projects.

Whether you're developing a realistic open-world environment, a stylized fantasy adventure, or an atmospheric indie game, Skyloom provides the tools to create weather conditions that match your artistic vision. Its flexible configuration makes it suitable for virtually any game genre or visual style.

Create Your Perfect Sky

Design detailed volumetric skies using three independent cloud layers, each with customizable shapes, density, coverage, altitude, and wind behavior. Choose from 10 cloud formation templates, including Cumulus, Stratus, Cirrus, and Cumulonimbus, or fine-tune individual parameters to create your own unique cloud formations.

Adjust cloud lighting, atmospheric haze, scattering, and optional ground shadows to achieve anything from bright, peaceful skies to dramatic storm clouds.

Bring Weather to Life

Go beyond static skies with dynamic rain, snow, and thunderstorms. Rainfall can generate expanding surface ripples, splashes, and puddles, while snowfall creates temporary snow patches that gradually melt away.

Procedural lightning features customizable branching bolts, synchronized flashes, cloud illumination, and optional distance-based thunder audio using your own sound clips.

Dynamic Weather and Day/Night Cycles

Create immersive weather scenarios with customizable weather profiles and smooth transitions between different conditions. Use fixed weather settings for complete artistic control or configure automatic weather scheduling with adjustable durations, transition times, and probabilities.

An optional day/night system controls sunlight, ambient lighting, atmospheric colors, and fog throughout the day.

Designed for Customization and Workflow Efficiency

Skyloom includes a dedicated Unity Editor window that brings its configuration options into one interface. Create and edit weather profiles, apply cloud and weather settings independently, preview transitions, search parameters, and validate your project setup.

With 191 different parameters, adjustable rendering quality, and a scripting API for gameplay integration, Skyloom offers extensive control over the appearance and behavior of your environment.

From clear summer skies to intense thunderstorms, Skyloom helps you build atmospheric worlds tailored to your project's needs.
