Fifteen portal effects, each with its own character: Arcane, Holy, Nature, Water, Ice, Fire, Electric, Crystal, Time, Holo, Dark, Necro, Blood, Poison and a Black Hole.
Every portal is drawn by procedural shaders rather than rendered flipbooks. Nothing is baked into a texture atlas, so a portal stays sharp whether it fills the screen as a boss arena gateway or sits as a 64-pixel icon on a map. Scale it with the root transform and it holds up.
That also makes them yours to change. Colours, spin and flow speeds, ring radii, arm counts, tick counts and glow widths are all material properties — retinting a portal to match your palette is a one minute job, not a trip back to Photoshop. The holographic frame takes any polygon from a triangle to a sixteen-sided ring; the vortices take any number of arms.
Every portal opens and closes. A PortalFXController on the root scales the effect up while a noise dissolve fills it in, and back down to close, with Open() and Close() buttons in the Inspector and a Progress slider you can scrub in edit mode without entering play. One call drives all layers of a portal together.
Suited to RPGs, roguelikes, tower defence, card and idle games — anywhere a summon, a teleport, a rift or a level gate needs to read instantly. Also useful as spawn markers, boss entrances and shop portals.
Requires the Universal Render Pipeline. Bloom in your Volume profile is strongly recommended: these effects are authored as emissive light and look flat without it. A demo scene with all fifteen is included, along with documentation.
